Pasta with Broccoli in Cream Sauce with Capers
Ingredients
- Broccoli 20 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Butter 0 oz
- Celery salt 1 stalk
- Camembert cheese 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Pickled capers 2 tablespoons
- Penne rigate 10 oz
- Dried Rosemary ½ teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Blanch the broccoli in boiling salted water for 3–5 minutes.
Step 2
Finely chop the garlic and celery, and add them to a pan with melted butter, sautéing for a couple of minutes over low heat.
Step 3
Drain the broccoli in a colander, let the water drain, chop it into small pieces, and transfer it to the pan.
Step 4
After a minute, pour in the cream, add spices (I like oregano and pepper), salt, and sprinkle with flour, mixing and simmering for 3 minutes over low heat.
Step 5
Cook the pasta, place the broccoli cream sauce on top, and add grated or chopped cheese and capers.
Step 6
Garnish with herbs.
