Pasta with Bacon, Garlic, and Tomatoes
Pasta and Pizza • European
Description
I prefer to combine the pasta with a ready-made sauce that is still simmering in the pan, rather than the other way around. If you don't have good tomatoes on hand, it's better to use canned tomatoes or a pre-made tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 20 oz
- Salted pork belly 5 oz
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- Spaghetti 15 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the garlic and cut the bacon into thin strips.
Step 2
Sauté the garlic in olive oil in a heated skillet, then add the bacon and finely chopped tomatoes (no need to peel them) and simmer, stirring, for 15 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
Step 3
Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente.
Step 4
Add the pasta to the prepared sauce in the skillet, stir in the parsley, mix everything well, and let it simmer for a couple more minutes. Serve on plates.
