Pasta Arrabbiata with Sausage and Olives
Ingredients
- Spaghetti 5 oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 15 oz
- Pitted olives 1 can
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 5 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Basil 0 oz
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
- Salt to taste
- Italian chopped parsley to taste
- Sweet Red Onion 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a skillet.
Step 2
Add finely chopped garlic and red onion and sauté for about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add finely chopped Italian sausage (preferably cured).
Step 4
Sauté garlic and onion with the sausage for another 3–5 minutes.
Step 5
Reduce heat and add crushed tomatoes to the garlic and sausage, sprinkle with Italian herbs.
Step 6
Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water for 9 minutes.
Step 7
Add sliced olives to the skillet.
Step 8
Simmer the sauce until the spaghetti is ready.
Step 9
One minute before the sauce is done, add basil and chili pepper.
Step 10
Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce.
