Pasta A La Carbonara with Sausages
Ingredients
- Fettuccine Pasta 5 oz
- Sausages 4 pieces
- Hard Cheese 5 oz
- Whole egg 5 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Bring the salted water to a boil.
Step 2
Cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve a cup of the pasta water, as it may be needed later, and drain the rest.
Step 3
Slice the sausages into rounds.
Step 4
Grate the cheese using a fine grater.
Step 5
While the pasta is cooking, heat vegetable oil in a skillet.
Step 6
Fry the sausages, then remove from heat.
Step 7
In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the grated cheese until smooth.
Step 8
Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese mixture until the yolks thicken.
Step 9
Add the sausages and stir again. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more pasta broth.
Step 10
Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
