Description

What to do with leftover bread from yesterday? Italians solve this elegantly by making pappa al pomodoro. The bread is soaked in vegetable broth with crushed tomatoes and simmered until it completely dissolves. The result can be enjoyed as a standalone dish, as a sauce for pasta, or as a spread. Our version is made with basil.
