Oyster Appetizer
Ingredients
- Cake crumbs 4 cups
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Cream 10 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 teaspoons
- Worcestershire Sauce 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves 0 fl oz
- Fresh Oysters 36 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a rectangular baking dish with butter.
Step 2
Spread the breadcrumbs on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and let cool.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the eggs, cream, milk, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, and 0.25 teaspoons each of salt and black pepper. Gradually fold in the breadcrumbs and oysters.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
