Oven-Baked Fish with Mayonnaise

Ingredients

  • Cod 5 lbs
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Onion 1 head
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Mayonnaise 10 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Clean the fish, gut it, and cut it into pieces. Dredge in flour mixed with pepper and salt, and fry until golden brown.

Step 2

While the fish is frying, grate the carrot on a coarse grater and finely chop the onion.

Step 3

Place the fish in a greased baking dish or skillet. Top with a layer of grated carrot, then onion, and evenly pour mayonnaise over everything.

Step 4

Place in a preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from the oven, let cool. Serve cold, optionally garnished with lettuce leaves.
