Orange Sauce with Zest
Ingredients
- Orange zest 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 5 oz
- Oranges 3 pieces
- Coarse Salt to taste

Step 1
Peel the oranges. Cut them into quarters lengthwise, then slice thinly.
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine the thinly sliced orange zest and orange pieces. Add sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, slightly reduce the heat, and cook, stirring, until the liquid turns into a syrup, about 12–15 minutes.
Step 3
Cool down.
