Orange Jam
Ingredients
- Oranges 4 pieces
- Sugar 15 oz
- Lemon 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the orange zest using a grater or remove the zest with a sharp knife, avoiding the peel which contains a lot of pectin that helps thicken the jam.
Step 2
Remove the remaining peel and wrap it in cheesecloth.
Step 3
Cut the orange segments into thirds horizontally and remove the seeds (optional; personally, I did not remove them).
Step 4
Blend the orange segments in a blender (on the lowest speed) for about 2 minutes, adding sugar and zest.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into a pot and cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 6
Place the finished mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
