  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Onion 5 lbs
  • Olive Oil 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Slice the onions into 1.5 cm thick pieces. Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot. Add the onions and cook over low heat, stirring, for 30-45 minutes until the onions become very soft.

Step 2

Sprinkle with flour and sugar, then pour in the wine. Add salt, stir, cover, and cook over low heat for another 2 hours.
