
Oatmeal with Caramelized Apples

Description
Instead of walnuts, you can use other nuts, such as hazelnuts or cashews. Any type of apples can be used.
Ingredients
- Oats 0 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Apple 1 piece
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Brown Sugar 3 teaspoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Ground Cinnamon to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Bring the milk to a boil; stirring, add the oats and cook on low heat until ready. Remove the finished porridge from the heat and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the apples and cut them into small pieces.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a skillet and add the chopped apples, sautéing them for 1–2 minutes.
Step 4
Caramelize the apples by sprinkling them with brown sugar and keeping them on the heat until a caramel crust forms.
Step 5
Crush the walnuts.
Step 6
Serve the porridge in a bowl, add the caramelized apples, sprinkle with crushed walnuts and cinnamon.
