Description
After oatmeal for breakfast, the feeling of fullness lasts a long time. It's very easy to prepare; in the classic recipe, the key is not to skimp on the butter and to remember to stir. You can add jam or even maple syrup to the finished oatmeal.
Ingredients
- Ground Oats 10 oz
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- 10% cream 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
The night before, soak the oats in water and let them sit overnight, ideally for 12 hours.
Step 3
The next morning, drain the water and transfer the grains to a pot.
Step 4
Add butter.
Step 5
Pour in the milk.
Step 6
Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grains are tender.
Step 7
Remove the porridge from the heat and add the cream.
Step 8
Add sugar and salt to taste.
Step 9
Stir.
Step 10
Oatmeal can be served with syrup, honey, or dried fruits; however, it is also delicious on its own.
