Muhammara with Black Molasses

Description
Pomegranate molasses can be replaced with fresh lemon juice.
Ingredients
- Walnuts 1 cup
- Orange Bell Peppers 10 oz
- Panko breadcrumbs 5 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Black Pomegranate Molasses 2 teaspoons
- Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Pide bread to taste
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Place the peppers on a baking sheet and roast until the skin starts to char, about 20 minutes. Transfer to a plastic bag and let sit for 15 minutes. Peel off the skin, remove the seeds, and transfer to a blender.
Step 2
Add the walnuts, breadcrumbs, olive oil, molasses, cumin, cayenne pepper, and minced garlic. Blend everything until smooth. Season with salt to taste and transfer to a serving bowl. Serve with pita.
