Moroccan spiced marinated olives
Ingredients
- Pitted olives 10 oz
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Olive Oil ¼ cup
- Passata Tomato Sauce 2 teaspoons
- Water 0.3 cups
- Harissa 2 teaspoons
- Thyme 3 sprigs
- Lemon 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the olives in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Drain and dry well.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the sliced garlic, and sauté until golden, about 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Step 3
Add the water, harissa, thyme, and olives, and cook, stirring, until the liquid evaporates and the olives are coated in sauce, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat and add 2 slices of lemon. Transfer to a bowl, cool, and refrigerate for 24 hours.
