Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the groats into boiling milk and cook until thickened; then add salt, sugar, mix well, place in a pan, and bake.
Step 2
Use a thin knife to separate the finished casserole from the edges of the pan, transfer it to a plate, and cut into 5–6 pieces. Before serving, drizzle the casserole with butter. If desired, the butter can be replaced with hot berry jelly and the casserole can be sprinkled with sugar or topped with sour cream.
