Meatloaf with Mushrooms in Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- Meat 10 oz
- Puff Pastry 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Fresh Mushrooms 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix to taste
- Spices to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the meat (minced meat is also suitable) and the onion. Lightly sauté in a pan, adding salt and pepper.
Step 2
Boil the fresh (or frozen) mushrooms in salted water. Drain the water, cool, and chop.
Step 3
Hard boil the eggs and chop them as well.
Step 4
Mix all the ingredients together. Add salt, pepper, and spices to taste.
Step 5
Separate the raw egg into yolk and white. Add the white to the meat with mushrooms. Mix well.
Step 6
Roll out the pastry not too thin. Evenly spread the filling along the entire length, roll it up, and tuck in the edges. Make cuts on top.
Step 7
If desired, decorate with previously prepared narrow strips of pastry.
Step 8
Brush the loaf with yolk and sprinkle with herbs and spices.
Step 9
Bake until ready. It took about an hour for my loaf to bake at 300°F.
