Meat Pie in Sour Cream Dough

Ingredients

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Sour Cream 1 can
  • Wheat Flour 0,4 glasses
  • Activated Baking Soda ¼ spoons
  • Lamb 15 oz
  • Onion 2 pieces
  • Potato 2 pieces
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper ½ spoons
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) ½ spoons
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix together melted butter, sour cream, 1 egg, baking powder, and salt. Add the first 2 cups of flour and check if you can knead a very soft dough that does not stick to your hands or the sides of the bowl. If it's not enough, add the remaining flour and continue kneading. Divide the dough into 2 parts, one of which should be slightly smaller than the other. Wrap them in plastic wrap and set aside. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Finely chop the onion.

Step 2

Cut the meat and potatoes into small cubes. Add spices and mix everything well. Roll out the larger portion of the dough on a floured baking sheet. Fill the pie with the filling, leaving some space around the edges. Cover the filling with the second portion of the dough, sealing the edges. Mix an egg with a small amount of water and brush the top of the pie. Make small cuts on top.

Step 3

Bake the pie until golden brown.
