Ingredients

  • Lean Beef 30 oz
  • Cake crumbs 5 oz
  • Pistachios 5 oz
  • Onion 5 oz
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Brandy ¼ cup
  • 33% Cream 0 fl oz
  • Salt 1½ teaspoons
  • Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Caraway 1 teaspoon
  • French Baguette to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 355°F. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, pistachios, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, brandy, cream, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Mix gently but thoroughly.

Step 2

Grease a loaf pan with oil and place the prepared meat mixture inside. Press down lightly and cover with foil. Place in a deep baking tray and fill with hot water halfway up the sides of the loaf pan. Bake for 1.5 hours.

Step 3

Let cool, carefully remove from the pan, and wrap in foil. Refrigerate overnight.

Step 4

Trim the sides of the pâté and place it on a serving plate. Slice into thin pieces and serve with thinly sliced baguette.
