Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 20 oz
- Turnips 20 oz
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Sour Cream 3 tablespoons
- Butter 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel and cut the turnip into large cubes. Transfer to a saucepan.
Step 2
Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes and add them to the turnip. Add the bay leaf and cover with water. Salt, bring to a boil, and cook for about 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 3
Drain and remove the bay leaf.
Step 4
Add the sour cream and butter. Season with salt and pepper, and mash with a potato masher until smooth.
