Marinated Zucchini with Garlic Grandma's Recipe
Appetizers • World
Description
Zucchini can also be sliced into thin rings as an option. Sugar can be replaced with honey, in which case half a tablespoon will be sufficient. Along with dill, parsley can also be added. The recipe used regular 9% table vinegar.
Ingredients
- Zucchini 20 oz
- Salt 1½ teaspoons
- Sunflower Oil 5 fl oz
- Vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 0.8 cloves
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Dill to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the zucchini, slice them thinly lengthwise (a vegetable peeler works well for the right thickness), place in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, mix well, and let sit for half an hour.
Step 2
In a separate container, mix vinegar, oil, and sugar.
Step 3
Drain the liquid from the zucchini. Place them in a container where they will be marinated (for example, a jar). Pour the mixed oil and vinegar over them, crush or slice the garlic into it, chop the dill and add it to the rest, and sprinkle with pepper to taste.
Step 4
Mix everything well. Close tightly and place in the refrigerator. You can leave it overnight or for 2-3 hours, after which it can be served as an appetizer.
