- Carrot 2 pieces
- Garlic 1 head
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Water 2 glasses
- Salt 3 spoons
- Sugar 1 glass
- Vegetable Oil 1 glass
- Vinegar essence 1 glass
- White Cabbage 5 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the cabbage into cubes, grate the carrot using a coarse or Korean grater, and slice the garlic and chili pepper into thin strips.
Step 2
Place the ingredients in a pot and stir.
Step 3
Prepare a marinade by boiling water, sugar, salt, and spices. Remove from heat, then stir in the oil and vinegar.
Step 4
Pour the marinade over the cabbage, cover with a plate and place a weight on top. Store in a cool place for 2 days.
Step 5
Place the prepared cabbage into jars and store them in the refrigerator.
