Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
  • Onion 5 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Fresh basil leaves 2 teaspoons
  • Dried parsnip 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Dried Rosemary ½ teaspoon
  • Salt ¼ teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
  • Canned Tomatoes (Pelati) 30 oz
  • Capers 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add the basil, parsley, sugar, oregano, salt, black pepper, and tomatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring, until slightly thickened.

Add the capers and serve with pasta.
