Sort the ripe lingonberries, rinse them in cold water, and place them in a clean glass or ceramic jar.
Step 2
To prepare the syrup, add sugar to a pot, pour in 2 cups of water, add lemon zest, bring to a boil, strain, and cool. Pour the cold syrup over the lingonberries, cover the jar with parchment paper, and tie it with string. Store the lingonberries in a cool place.
