Description

Leek with garlic mayonnaise

Ingredients

  • Sweet Pepper 1 piece
  • Leek 6 stalks
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Garlic 8 cloves
  • Mayonnaise 20 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Saffron a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Dissolve a pinch of saffron in twenty milliliters of boiling water. Grill the sweet pepper until the skin starts to split and char. Remove from heat, carefully peel off as much of the skin as possible, discard the seeds and other contents, and finely chop the pepper. Let the saffron steep for five minutes, then mix the infusion with mayonnaise, finely chopped pepper, crushed garlic, lemon juice, and salt.

Step 2

Grill the leek stalks over an open flame, not worrying if the outer layers start to char and burn. Grill for about five minutes, turning constantly. Remove the leeks from the heat and enjoy by peeling off the burnt outer layers and dipping them in spicy garlic mayonnaise.
