Ingredients
- Leek 15 pieces
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Bacon 2 pieces
- Gruyère cheese 5 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the leeks, remove the root and the outer green leaves. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the leeks, and cook for 15 minutes until they are soft.
Step 2
Drain the water and place the leeks in a baking dish.
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in a skillet, add the sliced bacon, and cook, stirring, over low heat for 5 minutes until the bacon is browned. Remove it from the skillet, drain excess fat, and add it to the dish with the leeks. Sprinkle with grated cheese and pieces of butter.
Step 4
Bake for 15-20 minutes at 390°F until a golden crust forms. Serve immediately in the same dish.
