Leek and Cream Gratin
Ingredients
- Leek 8 pieces
- Cream (40%) 15 fl oz
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Trim the dark green leaves and roots from the leeks. Cut the remaining parts in half lengthwise and rinse well.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 3
In a large skillet, combine the cream and leeks, season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes. Then transfer to a baking dish.
Step 4
Sprinkle cheese on top and bake until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
