Vegetable broth can be replaced with water or chicken broth.
Ingredients
- Bacon 4 pieces
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Coarse Salt 1 teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
- TABASCO® to taste
- Apple Cider Vinegar ¼ cup
- Leafy Mustard 0 lbs
- Chicken Broth 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a deep skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon and sauté, stirring, until golden brown. Then add the finely chopped onion and sauté until soft and golden.
Step 2
Next, add the minced garlic, salt, sugar, and a bit of TABASCO. Sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
Step 3
Pour in the vinegar and let it reduce by half, stirring.
Step 4
Add the chopped greens and broth, and cook, stirring, for a few minutes until soft. Add salt and TABASCO to taste and serve.
