Lavash Appetizer with Ground Meat
Ingredients
- Armenian Lavash 3 pieces
- Ground meat 15 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Carrot 1 piece
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Green Butter 1 bunch
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Mayonnaise to taste
- Garlic 1 clove
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
Step 2
In a pan with heated vegetable oil, sauté the onion. After 3 minutes, add the carrot and fry until the carrot is half-cooked.
Step 3
Add the ground meat to the onion and carrot mixture and fry, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes until the meat is cooked through, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Slice the tomatoes into rounds. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
Step 5
Mix the mayonnaise with the pressed garlic. Finely chop the herbs.
Step 6
Unroll a sheet of lavash, spread it with the garlic mayonnaise, evenly distribute the ground meat on it, leaving a 2-3 cm border, and sprinkle with herbs.
Step 7
Spread the second sheet of lavash with garlic mayonnaise on both sides and place it on top of the meat. Lay the lettuce leaves evenly across the lavash, then place the tomato slices on top and drizzle with mayonnaise.
Step 8
Cover the tomatoes with a third sheet of lavash, lightly spread with garlic mayonnaise on both sides. Sprinkle the top with grated cheese and carefully roll it into a log.
Step 9
Place the finished roll in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes, then slice it crosswise into pieces 1.5-2 cm thick.
