Description

Korean-Style Marinated Pork Ears

Ingredients

  • Pork Neck 3 pieces
  • Carrot 3 pieces
  • Red Long Chili Peppers to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Allspice berries 3 pieces
  • Ground coriander to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Clove 3 pieces
  • Bay leaf 1 piece
  • 9% Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Boiling water 3 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour boiling water over the raw ears and let them sit for about 30 minutes, then clean them thoroughly with a knife. Rinse with cold water and boil until cooked for about one hour, adding cloves, allspice, bay leaf, and salt towards the end of cooking. Let the cooked ears cool and slice them into thin strips.

Step 2

Grate the carrot using a grater for Korean-style carrots.

Step 3

Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet so that it just covers the bottom (do not use too much oil, as the dish will have a greasy taste).

Step 4

Add the prepared carrot and pork ears to the well-heated oil, quickly mix everything, and fry while stirring constantly for about one minute.

Step 5

Transfer everything to a bowl and add the ground red pepper, salt, coriander, vinegar mixed with water, soy sauce, and crushed garlic. Mix everything very well and refrigerate for 3–4 hours.
