Italian Meat Pasta Casserole

Ingredients

  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
  • Pasta (corkscrew) 10 oz
  • Frozen green bean pods 5 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Melted Cheese 5 oz
  • Meat 20 oz
  • Baking Tomatoes 15 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the chopped meat until browned. Remove from the skillet. Wash the chili pepper, remove the seeds, and finely chop. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them together with the chili in the fat left from the meat. Add the tomatoes, chopped meat, and simmer covered on low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Boil the pasta in salted water. Add the peas 4 minutes before the pasta is done. Drain the water. Combine the pasta, peas, and tomato-meat sauce, and season with pepper.

Step 3

Transfer to a baking dish. Slice the cheese and distribute it over the mixture. Bake in the oven under the broiler for 5 minutes.
