Italian appetizer with jalapeño peppers
Ingredients
- Iceberg Lettuce 2 pieces
- Melted Cheese 5 oz
- Leek 0 oz
- Canned Jalapeño Peppers 1 tablespoon
- Pesto 3 tablespoons
- Marinated cherries 0 oz
- Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
- Flaky sea salt a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Mayonnaise 2 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the leek into rings.
Step 2
Sauté it over medium heat in olive oil with a pinch of coarse salt for 3–5 minutes.
Step 3
Spread the pesto sauce on the lettuce leaves.
Step 4
Cut the cheese into slices about 5 mm thick.
Step 5
Place the mozzarella on top of the sauce and season with black pepper.
Step 6
Slice the cherry tomatoes thinly.
Step 7
Place them on top of the mozzarella.
Step 8
Spread homemade mayonnaise on top.
Step 9
Add the jalapeños.
Step 10
Then add the leek.
Step 11
Wrap the filling with the lettuce from each side.
