Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Roast the bell pepper in the oven. Boil the chickpeas with the onion in water, and once cooked, blend with the roasted bell pepper.
Step 2
Mix the chickpea puree with the chopped onion, garlic, herbs, and dry spices: cumin, pepper, paprika, and salt.
Step 3
Next, pour 3 tablespoons of water into the mixture, stir well, and let it sit for half an hour. Moisten your hands and roll the mixture into balls.
Step 4
Heat a skillet with oil and fry the falafel in small batches. For full cooking until golden brown, it takes about 3–4 minutes. Place the fried falafel balls on a paper towel to remove excess oil and then serve with the hummus. Serve with a flatbread.
