Description

Serve hot with crackers, breadsticks, or a crispy baguette.

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Fresh basil leaves 0 oz
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Ricotta cheese 5 oz
  • Worcestershire Sauce to taste
  • TABASCO® to taste
  • Coarse Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Melted Cheese 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 430°F.

Step 2

In a pot, heat the olive oil and add finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 5–8 minutes, stirring.

Step 3

Then add finely chopped spinach and cook for 5–8 minutes until softened. Transfer to a colander and let excess liquid drain, gently pressing.

Step 4

In the same pot, heat the milk over high heat. Then add the ricotta and stir until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add the spinach, a bit of Worcestershire sauce, TABASCO, and ¼ cup of finely chopped mozzarella. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining finely chopped mozzarella.

Step 6

Bake in the oven until golden brown for 20–25 minutes.
