Hot Mushroom Appetizer in Wine Sauce with Cheese
Ingredients
- Fresh Mushrooms 15 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Dry White Wine ½ cup
- Water ½ cup
- Potato protein 3 teaspoons
- Salt to taste
- Edam Cheese 5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Thyme 4 sprigs
- Garlic 1 clove
- French Baguette 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thoroughly wash and clean the mushrooms. Slice them thinly.
Step 2
In a skillet, melt the butter and add finely chopped onion and mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are browned over high heat.
Step 3
Then pour in the wine and water. Reduce the heat, season with salt and pepper to taste, add thyme and minced garlic. Add the starch and mix well to thicken the sauce.
Step 4
Transfer the mushrooms to a baking dish and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to broil and place the mushrooms under it. Bake for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Serve with crispy baguette.
