Ingredients

  • Horseradish Leaves 10 oz
  • 9% Vinegar 10 fl oz
  • Water 15 fl oz
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Salt 2 teaspoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the horseradish, peel it, grate it on a fine grater, place it in an enameled pot or bowl, and pour boiling water over it, covering the dish with a lid.

Step 2

When the horseradish cools down (after 0.5–1 hour), add the vinegar, salt, sugar, and stir.

Step 3

Vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice.

Step 4

Withered horseradish should be soaked in cold water for 10–12 hours before peeling, changing the water 2–3 times.
