Ingredients
- Horseradish Leaves 10 oz
- 9% Vinegar 10 fl oz
- Water 15 fl oz
- Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Salt 2 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the horseradish, peel it, grate it on a fine grater, place it in an enameled pot or bowl, and pour boiling water over it, covering the dish with a lid.
Step 2
When the horseradish cools down (after 0.5–1 hour), add the vinegar, salt, sugar, and stir.
Step 3
Vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice.
Step 4
Withered horseradish should be soaked in cold water for 10–12 hours before peeling, changing the water 2–3 times.
