Honey-Glazed Turnips
Ingredients
- Honey 3 tablespoons
- Turnips 25 oz
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Water 1 cup
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the turnips and cut them into large cubes. Place them in a deep skillet with a lid and add honey, butter, and water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and cook until tender for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the lid, slightly increase the heat, and cook until almost all the liquid evaporates, about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Then cook for another 3 minutes until the turnips caramelize, stirring.
Step 4
Season with salt, pepper, and drizzle with lemon juice.
