Ingredients
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 30 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves 3 tablespoons
- Chili Flakes a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté lightly without browning, then add the chopped tomatoes. Turn up the heat to high, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat.
Step 2
Season with salt and pepper, add the red pepper flakes and finely chopped basil. Cook for another 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.
