Halloween Potato Casserole
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Milk 1¼ cups
- Egg white 3 pieces
- Nigella Seeds to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a pot and cover with water. Add salt and cover with a lid. Cook until tender for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2
When the potatoes are cooked, heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 4
Drain the potatoes and mash them in a bowl. Add the milk and butter mixture, egg yolks, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and black pepper, and beat with a mixer until smooth.
Step 5
Spread a third of the potato mixture in a thin layer on a greased baking sheet.
Step 6
Fill the remaining potato mixture into a piping bag and pipe high mounds resembling ghosts. Use the seeds to make eyes.
Step 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and until the potatoes firm up.
