Halloumi Cheese Appetizer
Ingredients
- Halloumi Cheese 5 oz
- Olive Oil ½ teaspoon
- Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon
- Passata Tomato Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Mild Chili Spice ½ teaspoon
- Mixed Ground Peppers to taste
- Flaky sea salt a pinch
- Dry adjika to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the cheese into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
Step 2
Grease the pan with olive oil and place it over high heat, adding a pinch of salt.
Step 3
For the sauce, mix mayonnaise and tomato paste.
Step 4
Add chili powder.
Step 5
Mix thoroughly.
Step 6
Place the cheese slices on the hot pan so that they do not touch each other.
Step 7
Season with the mixed peppers.
Step 8
Once the bottom side is nicely browned, flip them over.
Step 9
After 2–3 minutes, flip again and season with dry adjika.
Step 10
After another 2–3 minutes, flip to the last unbrowned side.
Step 11
After 2 minutes, transfer to a plate and serve with the prepared sauce.
