Description

Grilled shrimp with tequila, lime, and green salsa

Ingredients

  • Shrimp 32 pieces
  • Lime Juice 5 fl oz
  • Tequila 3 tablespoons
  • Mild Chili Spice 2 pieces
  • Cilantro 3 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Mixed tomatoes of different colors 1 piece
  • Spanish onions ½ piece
  • Cilantro 0 oz
  • Ground ancho chili pepper 2 pieces
  • Avocado 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak 8 wooden skewers in cold water for 30 minutes. Clean the shrimp, leaving the tails on. Thread 4 shrimp onto each skewer and arrange in a single layer in a non-metallic dish.

Step 2

Mix 125 ml of lime juice, tequila, chopped red chilies, cilantro, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 2 minced cloves of garlic. Pour over the shrimp, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

For the salsa, mix the chopped tomato, finely chopped onion, chopped green chilies, cilantro leaves, remaining minced garlic, and one tablespoon of olive oil. Stir well and season with salt. Cover and refrigerate.

Step 4

Preheat the grill and brush with oil. Grill the shrimp for 3-5 minutes until they turn pink, basting with the marinade during cooking.

Step 5

Before serving, peel the avocado and cut it into small cubes. Gently fold it into the salsa along with lime juice. Season with salt and serve with the shrimp.
