Grilled Peppers with Onions

Ingredients

  • Spanish onions 1 head
  • Spanish onions 1 head
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Coarse Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak wooden skewers in cold water for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the grill.

Step 3

Peel and slice the onions into rings. Cut the peppers into quarters and remove the seeds.

Step 4

Alternately thread the colorful peppers and onion rings onto the skewers. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Place on the grill and cook for 6–8 minutes on each side until the skins of the peppers are slightly charred.

Step 6

Transfer the vegetables to a cutting board, removing them from the skewers. Peel the skins off the peppers and slice them into thin strips.

Step 7

Transfer the vegetables to a serving dish.
