Grilled Meat Tacos
Ingredients
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
- Chipotle Pepper Paste 6 pieces
- Spanish onions 2 heads
- Lime 3 pieces
- Lime Juice to taste
- Steaks 25 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Habanero Pepper 1 piece
- Tortillas 2 pieces
- Salsa Verde Sauce 0.3 cups
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a skillet over high heat. Add whole cloves of garlic and sauté. In a blender, combine the sautéed garlic, oil, chipotle peppers, 1 chopped onion, and the juice of 2 limes. Blend until smooth. Cut the steak into 4 pieces, place in a bowl, generously coat with the marinade, and let sit for 1 hour at room temperature or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 2
Preheat the grill or grill pan. Using a brush, remove excess marinade from the steaks and cook them to your desired doneness. Transfer the cooked steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, slice the remaining onion into thin half-rings and grill it along with the jalapeño pepper. Cook the vegetables until they are soft. Chop the steaks finely and mix with the onion and pepper in a bowl. Heat the corn tortillas on the grill.
Step 4
Arrange the tortillas on plates, top with the meat and vegetables, add salsa verde sauce, and serve with lime wedges. Enjoy your meal!
