Grilled Fig Wrapped in Prosciutto with Blue Cheese and Pecans
Ingredients
- Blue Cheese 0 oz
- Green Figs 12 pieces
- Prosciutto 6 slices
- Pecan 6 pieces
- Olive Oil to taste
- Honey to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Trim the stems off the figs. Cut the cheese into 12 equal pieces. Halve the pecans. Slice the prosciutto in half lengthwise.
Step 2
Soak 12 wooden toothpicks in cold water for 10 minutes. Preheat the grill.
Step 3
Cut the figs in half vertically, without cutting all the way through. Gently open them and place a piece of cheese and a piece of pecan in each. Lightly press and wrap each fig in a slice of prosciutto, securing with a toothpick. Brush with olive oil and place on the grill.
Step 4
Grill until grill marks appear, about 1.5 minutes, then flip and grill for another minute.
Step 5
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with honey if desired. Serve warm.
