  • Shallot 15 oz
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Chinese green beans 30 oz
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Dried Chamomile ¼ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Place the green beans in boiling salted water and cook for about 6 minutes until tender. Transfer to a bowl of ice water or rinse under cold water. Drain and dry well.

Step 2

Peel the shallots, trim the ends, and cut them in half.

Step 3

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots and sauté for 1 minute. Slightly reduce the heat and cook until the shallots are golden and soft, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.

Step 4

Add the green beans to the shallots and cook, stirring, until the beans are heated through, about 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a bowl. Serve.
