Golden breaded onion rings
Ingredients
- Onion 30 oz
- Wheat Flour 1¼ glasses
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Milk 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Breadcrumbs 1¾ glasses
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the onion into thin rings and separate them.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt. In another bowl, beat the egg and milk together. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Step 3
Coat the onion rings in portions, first in flour, shaking off the excess, then in the milk and egg mixture, and finally in breadcrumbs. Transfer to parchment paper.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat until it reaches 355°F. Fry the rings in batches for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel.
