Garlic Shrimp with Ham and Red Peppers Spanish Style

Ingredients

  • Peeled Cooked Shrimp 28 pieces
  • Salt 1½ teaspoons
  • Garlic 8 cloves
  • Olive Oil ½ cup
  • Ham 5 oz
  • Chili Flakes ¼ teaspoon
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Sherry 0.3 cups
  • Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
  • Coarse Salt to taste
  • Country Bread 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse and dry the shrimp well. Sprinkle with salt, place on a paper towel, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the sliced garlic until golden. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a bowl.

Step 3

Add the diced ham and chili flakes to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Add the diced red bell pepper and sauté until soft.

Step 4

Add the shrimp, increase the heat, and fry, turning, for 3 minutes. Add the sherry and garlic, and cook, stirring, until the shrimp are cooked through.

Step 5

Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with pieces of bread.
