Ingredients
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi 3 cups
- Sugar 3 cups
- Chili jam 3 tablespoons
- Corn Starch 2 tablespoons
- White bread 1 piece
- Milk 2 cups
- Lean Beef 15 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root 1½ tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1½ tablespoons
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Sesame Oil 2 teaspoons
- Salt 2 teaspoons
- White Pepper (whole) 4 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sweet Sauce. Combine vinegar and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 7-10 minutes.
Step 2
Add chili sauce and cornstarch, bring back to a boil. The sauce should be thick enough. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Step 3
Soak the bread in milk for 30 minutes. Then add the ground beef and the remaining ingredients. Mix until well combined.
Step 4
Shape into small balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes until fully cooked. Cool, brush with sauce, and serve.
