  • Red Onion 2 pieces
  • Tomato Paste 3 tablespoons
  • Dark Raisins to taste
  • Red Wine Vinegar 3 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Pine nuts 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente (follow the instructions on the package).

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, slice the onion into thin half-rings. In a separate pan, sauté the onion, raisins, and pine nuts in heated oil for 1 minute.

Step 3

Mix the tomato paste with the wine vinegar and add it to the onion mixture. Stir well and simmer on low heat until it reaches a ketchup-like consistency.
