Fried zucchini with onions, Gruyère, and spicy herbs
Ingredients
- Courgette 20 oz
- Grapeseed Oil 2 tablespoons
- Onion ½ head
- Garlic 1 clove
- Chopped Sage Leaves 2 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves ¼ cup
- Gruyère cheese 0 oz
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the sliced zucchini and the onion cut into thin half-rings. Spread them out and sauté, stirring, for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
Step 2
Season with salt and pepper, and after about a minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and herbs. If the zucchini has absorbed all the oil, add a little more.
Step 3
Remove from heat, flatten the slices again, and place thin slices of cheese on top. Cover with a lid and return to low heat until the cheese melts.
Step 4
Transfer to a plate and serve immediately.
