Ingredients

  • Young zucchini 6 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
  • Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Whisk the egg with a fork, add the wine, and gently incorporate the flour, avoiding lumps. Whisk until it reaches a liquid sour cream consistency. Add finely grated cheese to the mixture. Season with salt and pepper. If necessary, add a little water.

Step 2

Wash the zucchini flowers, remove the pistils and stems, and place them in the batter for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

In a deep skillet, heat the oil. Allow the batter to drip off, then take the flowers and place them in a single layer in the skillet.

Step 4

Fry on both sides, then remove to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
